Job Summary and Qualifications

Directs all maintenance operations at a health care facility or a group of facilities. Manages all aspects of routine and preventive maintenance at a hospital and off site facilities including management of the physical plant, electrical delivery systems, medical gas delivery systems, emergency generators, and physical plant troubleshooting and project management. Manages the engineering staff including Operations supervisors, tradespersons, electricians, painters, plant engineers, general contractors, journeymen and electrical engineers. Manages the general safety of the hospital life safety and utility systems. Supervises general contractors hired to assist the hospital with renovations, new construction or any modifications to the existing structures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Type of mechanical certification (i.e., stationary engineer, HVAC certification) preferred.
• High School diploma or GED preferred. Some college preferred.
